Please don’t let me go into the conditions of these buildings. The description of the facility is quite different in the website. It clearly says “There are two bathrooms in each unit. The living areas are comfortable with two couches and cable TV. In all locations, amenities include Internet access and transportation is provided if needed.” That is a complete joke. I came to Greenville with nothing, I was beat up and tired of being sick. Sober Living America has taught me the tools and has loved me until I could love myself.
I love each and every person involved, and miss them dearly. I’m currently a resident in Jacksonville, as I had to transfer due to me taking advantage of the program. But if I had one wish it would be only to go back to greenville. I’ve been to other cities as well, but never found the peace and comfort as I did in greenville.
I’ve been apart of Sober Living America for almost 2 years. My life today has no comparison on what it used to be like.

The only time i saw the other directors is when i was picking residents up to go to meetings with me. When i met him i was unsure at first because I dont have to be a resident to hear and see the things that go on and i wondered how he would handle it. On one occasion i even heard somthing in the rooms about someone selling drugs at SlA but before i had a chance to try and get in contact with hunter, said resident had already been discharged & DNR’d. I can tell you first hand Hunter and Kayla are cleaning this place up. A few friends of mine that sponsor some of the guys at SLA and i were talking today about the improvement we can see in just a short time. We cannot wait to see whats to come, thats why i came to leave a review, to brag on them because they deserve it.
being on probation I needed help with all of that, but my lawyer was sent a letter of residency explaining the program and sla. gave me suggestions and the tools to help me in my recovery. They found me employment through one of their staffing agencies, and provided transportation not only to meetings, but also work, shopping, and the food bank. I didn’t quite complete the 6 month program, my mom got sick, and I had to go live with her, and help out. But I can truly say because of GOD, SLA, my sponsor, and the fellowship of the program of AA.
It Hurst to see my city blasted by 2 unhappy residents that had guidelines upheld with them. AA and NA is a selfish program, your suppose to focus on your self not others and that’s apparently not happening in those other reviews. Hunter and Kayla have done well, when there is am issue they adress it and handle it fairly. Greenville SLA is a good program and many of us are happy here. They help us get jobs, sponsors and go to meetings and it saved my life.
